What's in a Blog

Schmidty started this conversation

Aidpage wants me to do a blog, once in a while, I don't do blog's. What's a blog? To me it's just someone running off a the head about a subject that person thinks they know something about. A letter to yourself.

Well , I have been known to run off at the mouth before, uh, several times. Some times it was even at the right time. I hope this helps some people, because when I first started looking for "grants" I thought I'd be able to fill out a one or two page application and get the grant I was asking for. HAHAHAHAHAHA, it was a joke on me. I bought "books", "software" , and found that with all the money I spent, if  I would have looked a little deeper into it on the net, I would not have had to spend the money. Except,I do have some addresses, phone numbers, and places that could bee out of date, and most are. Just like Grantgate, I have received a couple of letters back, because they"could not be delivered".

I have also been disheartened because, the more I look at " business " it's really disappointing. They make it hard for someone to start a business. You need a business plan, to borrow money, and of course to 'give your business more direction' a reminder of what you plan on doing. Gee,how could you forget? If you are just starting up, I don't believe you are going to forget, if you are that stupid, you are going to make it anyway. I mean, come on, if you have had some of the supervisers, and bosses that I have had there are a lot of peple that should be running a business, instead of them. I don't want to get started on that, though!

I grew up thinking that to own a business was a BIG deal, YOU owned it. It was like working for somebody, give them 100% or better to earn your money, proud , that after work you knew you gave your best, you were a part of something that had meaning. Any more though it seems that a lot of businesses are out to get yout money, whether it is by lying, cheating, hook or crook. Where have the business ethics gone, I could tell you but then I couldn't be on Aidpage enymore.

The grants are as bad as the business plans, usually about 30-50 pages long. What gets me is the being able to predict your finances. You start out with zipcus and you either make it or you lose it. To me it seems that those charts are a measure of how good of a liar you are, because in reality, you have No idea only a hunch or a hope that it goes as well as you want it.

Well, I just shot myself in the foot  with typing these thoughts out but, oh, well. Stay tuned, in the next 'Blog', I'll give some addresses out . Your comments are welcome. May God Bless.

I want to thank everyone who posted a comment about my blog, I appreciate it very much. But some how I get the sneaking feeling that it was a hint at being able to run off at the mouth. That's OK, I've been told that before and I have to admit it's true. I've been told that I have a silver tongue.

I'm going to pick on advertising. It's getting to the point that you can't trust a thing that you read or hear when it comes to a product anymore. Example "Free Download", it's true it's a free download BUT depending on the program it will do only so much or to be able to run the bugger you have to Buy the key to unlock it. That's just one example. How about thoses free gifts valued at X amount of dollars? Most of the time it's products that can't be sold, overstock, or really cheap products that they put an outragest price on, example a bookmark valued at $25.95, and that's what they put on there tax forms. I have the feeling we need someone in the Commerce Department that will take a look at the truth in advertising laws and get a uniform global code so that anyone advertising can be taken to court in the country that they advertise in.

I would like to remind everyone that only 99.5% of the job oppurtunities and 65% of the products sold on the net by private owners or on auction blocks are how they are pictured. That being said and it being close to Christmas, that's right I said Christmas not the Holidays, who ever started that crap  should have a boot placed up their but as far as I'm concerned. If it's Christmas to me and it something else to you that's OK. Call it buy what you call it but we have other Holidays through out the year, not just at Christmas time. Anyway I promised this time I would give out some addresses but I have been doing that and some of them don't work, hope I have put them down correctly, but but But what I have decided to do is anyone who would like a copy of the E Book " Insider's Guide To Obtaining Grant Money" I will email you a copy. All you have to do is let me know through Aidpage that you want it and I will send a copy to the email address that you  are willing to give me.

I don't know if I can Post a folder to this reply comment, I haven't tried it, and I would feel safer knowing that it goes to your private email. That's all you have to do is let me know and give me an email address to send it to and I'll to it . It's 28 pages long and has advertising before and after the main content. Please ignore it, it's one of many GREAT Oppurtunities that I had fallen for trying to make a business.

There is no catch, no cost. It is FREE!!!! and I mean it. My Christmas gift to all of you or "Holiday" gift if you prefer. I have other ebooks but I don't think it would benefit anyone if they had them, but that maybe for another time. Right now,  I'm interested in knowing who would like a copy of this E Book? This doesn't only apply to this time period, I will send it through out the year, with hopes that some one will get benefits from having it. I have a number of hard copies of other such books but this is the only one I can email so that's all I can do.

Like I said , if you would like a Free copy of this booklet me know and I will email a copy to you. And thank you once again for letting me run my fingers uncontrolably accross my keyboard.Good luck on your endeavours, God Bless and Merry Christmas to you all.

Blog away because you seem better at it then you thought!

Well said and I will look forward to the next read.

If people would share what they've learned, what works and what doesn't, then others can avoid the same pit falls and grow faster in the right direction.

Grants.... UGH!

Schmidty,

Your post is exactly a good blog post... a very good blog post indeed!

Blogging is very much about talking publicly about your frustrations... and eventually... even getting a response from real people. This surely beats talking to your TV.

Best,
Emil
